LAHP Fishing Derby: A Recap

Back on New Year’s Day, Art and his son Calder took on the Lake at Heritage Pointe Fishing Derby, which is always a fun way to get engaging with the community. The event brings roughly 70 people each year, with lots of warm drinks, fun times and of course, fish. Over the period leading up to the Fishing Derby, the LAHP holds various clinics to help community members brush up on their ice fishing skills. Art and Calder went to some, and they really were a fun time.

The best news of the entire event (for us) was that Art and Calder came in first place out of 70 attendees on the day of the event. Look at this pic below with all of their fish – so good! If you’re wondering what Josh did over the course of the break, he treated his friends to his “legendary” grilled cheese sandwich. Looking for the recipe? Wondering what the three essential ingredients are? Great bread, great butter, and melty cheese 😎. As you can see, we had a great holiday season, full of great initiatives and lots of family and friends. We hope yours was wonderful and filled with all of the good things.
