Calgary Named 5th Most Livable City in the World

Over the last year, our city has made the top of many lists when it comes to livability, sustainability and more. In similar fashion, Calgary has risen to fifth place in the Economist Intelligence Unit’s list of the world’s most livable cities. Cities on the list were evaluated and assigned quantitative and qualitative scores across five categories – stability, healthcare, education, culture and environment and infrastructure. The “Blue Sky City” received top marks in education, healthcare and stability.

As we’ve reported in the past, Calgary is a city that is growing and expanding with 206 neighbourhoods, and there are more on the way. Avenue Calgary just published Calgary’s Top Neighbourhoods 2024: By the Numbers, working with the City of Calgary to compile 10 key community factors and categorizing the top communities based the criteria. Beltline, Panorama Hills and Saddle Ridge are among the top most populated neighbourhoods, with Cranston, Tuscany and McKenzie Towne being the most popular for furry friends! 🐶
