- Barry’s Calgary (4th Street): This is where you’ll find our team every Friday morning at 7:10 AM. It is easily the hardest workout in the city, a magnet for the Elbow Park and Mount Royal fit moms, and the best way to supercharge your weekend.
- Missy’s This That: Technically a couple of blocks north of Mission’s official boundary in the Beltline (above a convenience store on 14th Ave SW), this is a neighbourhood treasure. Ranked No. 9 in Canada’s 100 Best Bars for 2026, owner Thomas Dahlgren runs an incredible, daily-rotating wine program of biblical proportions. But the real secret is the menu: European-style tapas, like brown anchovy and fancy butter on toast, using ingredients and flavour profiles you simply cannot find outside of Europe. It is the ultimate local hideaway.
- Class Clown Hamburgers: Right on 4th Street, this is arguably the best burger in the city and our personal go-to to celebrate a deal. They have replicated the nostalgic taste of 90s McDonald’s burgers and paired it with vintage 80s basement decor. They also have an incredible natural wine and sour beer list. There is always a line, and it is always worth the wait.
- Mercato Gourmet: The iconic Italian institution of Mission. The Bistecca Fiorentina is absolutely insane, and they regularly pour some of the best Brunello and Chianti by the glass. The “Mercato-at-Home” hack: walk into their market side, grab a box of their freshly rolled house pasta, a tub of Mama Cathy’s legendary tomato sauce, and a fresh block of parm. Take it home, throw a prime steak on the barbecue, and you have a 10-out-of-10 Mercato dinner in your own kitchen.
- Earls Tin Palace: Don’t dismiss this classic. It’s the best-run Earls kitchen in the country, and the food quality is a consistent 10 out of 10. Friday Happy Hour is a blast because you’ll see the same local clients who’ve been coming to this location for 30 years. It’s a hilarious, high-energy neighbourhood reunion. They also serve fantastic Phil & Sebastian coffee.
- Seed N’ Salt: Right on 4th, this is consistently the neighbourhood’s go-to lunch spot when you want a clean, healthy, and delicious whole-food bowl or fresh smoothie.
- Peasant Cheese: Hands down, the best artisanal cheese selection in Southwest Calgary. A must-visit before hosting any weekend gathering.
