Southeast Calgary is not one market. It runs from the city’s oldest neighbourhood to its newest lake communities, with the river valley, Fish Creek Park and an industrial belt in between.
The inner-city southeast: where we do most of our work
Inglewood and Ramsay. Calgary’s oldest neighbourhood and arguably its most alive: music venues, breweries, and one of the best main streets in the city. Over the past year, apartments mostly sold between $287K and $422K and detached homes between $560K and $1.29M. Our guide covers the character homes, the inspection realities, and the 9th Avenue life.
Just south of the city
Heritage Pointe. Just past the city’s southern edge in Foothills County: an estate community around a private lake and 27-hole golf course, with detached homes starting just under $1 million and lakefront running past $3 million. Five minutes from the city limits, 25 from downtown.
The established southeast
Lake Bonavista – Calgary’s first lake community – plus Willow Park, Maple Ridge, Acadia, Fairview and the Fish Creek communities like Parkland and Deer Run: mature lots, real trees, lake and golf access, and some of the most livable mid-range streets in the city. McKenzie Lake bridges into the newer southeast: a 1990s lake community people search for right after Bonavista and Mahogany. No full guides here yet, but ask us about a specific street and we’ll tell you what we actually know about it.
The far southeast
Mahogany, Auburn Bay, Seton, Cranston, McKenzie Towne and Chaparral are the deep southeast: lake communities, newer homes, and Seton’s hospital and amenities anchoring the corner. We’ve sold in Chaparral this past year. We won’t pretend to be the listing feed for every suburb, but when a client’s search points here, we bring the same process we use in the core.
