Are you getting ready to list your home?
Most sellers meet the home inspector twice: once when they bought the home, and again when a buyer’s inspection blows a hole in their deal. We do it differently. A pre-listing inspection is something we recommend as part of our listing system for many homes, especially those lived in for more than seven to ten years. This short video explains why.
Why inspect before listing
Buyers negotiate hardest on surprises. When we inspect first, there are none: we either fix the issue, price for it, or disclose it up front with a quote attached. Deals hold together, conditions get waived faster, and the price we set is the price we defend.
What it costs
A few hundred dollars, depending on the home and the inspector – and it routinely saves multiples of that in renegotiation. We’ll walk you through whether it makes sense for your home as part of the listing plan, and if you’re earlier in the process, start with a free home evaluation.
